Building Caninos Argentina ERP

Caninos Argentina ERP is a self-hosted business management platform built for a pet-products company in Argentina. The system unifies purchasing, sales, inventory, accounting, and point-of-sale in one Spanish-language workspace — deployed on dedicated hardware at Vultr for full data ownership and low-latency access across the team.

This is private client infrastructure (no public repo or demo).

Resumen Económico

Built-in financial charts visualize Ingresos, Gastos, and Beneficio neto by year — giving management a live read on profitability without exporting to spreadsheets.

Core modules

Sidebar navigation covers the full operational stack:

  • Compras — Purchase orders, supplier invoices, and procurement workflows
  • Ventas — Quotes, sales orders, delivery notes, and customer billing
  • Almacén — Stock levels, warehouses, transfers, and replenishment
  • Contabilidad — Chart of accounts, journal entries, and financial reporting
  • Users — Role-based access for warehouse, sales, and admin staff

Workspace customization

The home layout supports Create Workspace and Editar so each role can pin the shortcuts and reports they use daily — reducing clicks for high-frequency tasks like stock checks and invoice follow-ups.

Infrastructure

LayerChoice
HostingVultr dedicated server
DeploymentSelf-managed production stack on Linux
DataPrivate — client-owned instance, no third-party SaaS
UISpanish-first, dark-themed workspace
AccessAuthenticated web app with global search (⌘ + G)

The dedicated server gives Caninos Argentina predictable performance for inventory-heavy operations (nearly 1,000 products, 2,400+ price lines) and keeps sensitive supplier, customer, and financial data on hardware they control.

Customization scope

Rather than juggling spreadsheets and disconnected tools, the platform was tailored to how the business actually runs:

  • Product grouping and pricing aligned to pet-retail categories
  • Purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash flows in one system
  • POS integrated with the same stock and customer records as wholesale
  • Commission and debt-tracking shortcuts for the sales team
  • Accounting charts wired to operational documents (no double entry by hand)

Use cases

  • Daily operations — Process sales at the counter or desk, issue invoices, and update stock in real time
  • Purchasing — Track supplier orders and pending payables from the same dashboard
  • Management — Review income, expenses, and net profit trends without leaving the app
  • Inventory control — Catch low-stock SKUs early and run quick inventory reports before replenishment runs
